"He's not the first black president....he's half white!"
These idiots fail to realize that if Obama was around back in the Jim Crow/segregation era....he would have had to ride at the back of the bus, would have to go to different schools, and would not be served at some restaraunts like any full blooded African-American would.
But apparently he's not "black". OK.
I don't know the reasoning behind the denialism...but it's silly. I guess they just don't want to admit that we elected a black person president....

He is both. He is one of the Human Beings. That's why Republicon Homelanders FAIL to get it about him, as they demonstrably FAIL at everything they touch.

2. It's clearly a talking point. |

I have recently heard the same thing from a couple family members. Considering how quickly this collective "thought" appeared, it had to have come from FOX News.

3. If it helps them accept and support him then let it be. |

He is half white technically. If they see race as a dividing barrier, then that might be the only way they can be brought into the fold. So it isn't a great thing they see race that way, but you won't change that by insisting on them accepting him as black. I wish everyone could forget race and realize he is human as we all are - that is all that matters. But some have a lot of brainwashing to undo to get there.
