spoken to the issue of admitting and atoning for past mistakes, of sending a clear message to future generations of what type of behavior is acceptable in terms of torture, eavesdropping, etc., and what is not. So far, he's signalling a tolerance for such past practices...a sort of sweeping it under the rug. As long as he sends that signal, then he won't get my "10"...but otherwise I'm very impressed so far.

what bullshit. And guess what? You need to put down your cheesy crystal ball. You don't know what the future will bring re investigations or prosecutions. Of course some folks actually think that Obama should have had bush and cheney arrested the second he took the oath of office. Maybe you're one of them.

Obama has clearly repudiated torture and taken measures to halt it completely.

Not-so-good stuff:

not beginning his inaugural address by pointing at Shrub and saying, "marshals, hold that man."

So far, the good far outweighs the not-so-good.
