Tweety on "Hardball," talking about the Caroline Kennedy withdrawal.

1. But Tweety is the one who teased the segment with those rumors.
He's a piece of swill.

2. That's why I constantly remind the "Tweety is one of us" posters...
...that Tweety is NOT "one of us."

You're right, he DID, he IS.

4. If the blogs have hard facts, share it
Would have been more appropriate. But they shouldn't report every stupidity that comes from the blogs, like the birth certificate shit or the swearing in shit. As often as not, what comes out of the blogs really is pure shit. Hopefully the White House blog will change the standards.

5. The blogs changed the face of reporting
We're not talking about Perez Hilton.

We're talking about Crooks & Liars, Digby...

...their level of reporting is OFTEN higher than Tweety's.

6. And it's OFTEN lower
and pure speculation and leaping to unsubstantiated conclusions.

7. Agreed.
The best of the best ARE the best, and the rest are...well, they're "speculative blogs."

I'm not offering mass praise for the "Blogosphere"...that would be unwarranted. A monkey could write a blog if you gave it enough bananas.

I'm just saying that there are blog practitioners who have chunks of "journalists" like Tweety in their stool (hat-tip to the late, great Phil Hartman and "The Sinatra Report")...

8. I think what he meant
Was not to drop any "affair gossip" thing...but yeah, the disdain of blogs by the MSM is annoying and happens often. But I think that's what he was getting at....but it was def weird. My local news in upstate NY mentioned affair rumors.
