24. Didn't remove the caps on damages for Title VII claims.

I've read the act (and I practice law as an employment attorney working for Plaintiffs), and, in my humble opinion, this law is little more than a symbolic gesture. It does not address the real problems with Title VII. It does alter, somewhat, the legislatively-imposed (and completely unnecessary) statute of limitations, and that's good, of course, but there's much more that needs to be fixed in Title VII.

On the other hand, the changes in EEOC policy that this law mandates may actually do some good. Employers may be less inclined to discriminate when they know that the EEOC must collect all this wage data.

Some on the right were clearly mocking the bill and trying to pass amendments that had nothing at all to do with "equal pay". They failed. You scolded them firmly while managing to keep your composure. Big feather in your cap.
