Edited on Fri Mar-23-07 08:07 PM by Monkeyman
Same old tactics to cut vets out of their benefits.Will Congress reinstate VA health-care for Priority Group 8th nope not if the replug Craig can play his game. Larry Scott explains it better then I can. But they played Vietnam vets against World War Two Vets and F us big time. Here let Larry tell you.

2. Hi dude -
You made a good post - don't pull anything.

I remember - the VFW - it used to be mostly WWII vets - then the Vietnam vets came home and started grouping there. It was a changing of the guard time, you know??

Which was wierd, cause most of those kids were the sons of WWII vets - very wierd to me.

They figured this out. Took time, but they got it.

My brothers were vets and all that. Many of my firends were. And I look at them - tell them to their face -this is the time you get even. Everybody is so afraid to not "be behind the troops" - well, that would mean all of them, doesn't it??

Don't back off an inche.

I remember what happened to my brothers - and I do not forgive that.

You had the balls to step up and protect this country - what ever war - then there is a debt that is owed you by this country. Collect it.

You have no idea how many of us are here to help you collect. This time we do the right thing as a country.

Joe

4. The Republicans hate the troops.
Proof is how they treat them.

5.  I hope soon
That bush gets asked directly and put on the spot about how he claims to support the troops , provide the freak with full size photos of the conditions . I want to hear him explain this away plus how he can cut their funding and pay .

6. Is this about the Larry Craig thing?
Typical for a Republican.

And the picture of the wheelchairs is beyond sickening.

Especially for a man who's helping all those wheelchairs to be filled so fast.

7. I care
I'm just not around much at the moment.

Shitting on vets is a time-honored tradition in this country, especially among repukes. It makes me so angry I can't stand it.

9.  "History doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme" -Mark Twain
Rudyard Kipling

Tommy

I went into a public-'ouse to get a pint o'beer,
The publican 'e up an' sez, "We serve no red-coats here."
The girls be'ind the bar they laughed an' giggled fit to die,
I outs into the street again an' to myself sez I:

O it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, go away";
But it's ``Thank you, Mister Atkins,'' when the band begins to play,
The band begins to play, my boys, the band begins to play,
O it's ``Thank you, Mr. Atkins,'' when the band begins to play.

I went into a theatre as sober as could be,
They gave a drunk civilian room, but 'adn't none for me;
They sent me to the gallery or round the music-'alls,
But when it comes to fightin', Lord! they'll shove me in the stalls!

For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, wait outside";
But it's "Special train for Atkins" when the trooper's on the tide,
The troopship's on the tide, my boys, the troopship's on the tide,
O it's "Special train for Atkins" when the trooper's on the tide.

Yes, makin' mock o' uniforms that guard you while you sleep
Is cheaper than them uniforms, an' they're starvation cheap;
An' hustlin' drunken soldiers when they're goin' large a bit
Is five times better business than paradin' in full kit.

Then it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy how's yer soul?"
But it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll,
The drums begin to roll, my boys, the drums begin to roll,
O it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll.

We aren't no thin red 'eroes, nor we aren't no blackguards too,
But single men in barricks, most remarkable like you;
An' if sometimes our conduck isn't all your fancy paints:
Why, single men in barricks don't grow into plaster saints;

While it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, fall be'ind,"
But it's "Please to walk in front, sir," when there's trouble in the wind,
There's trouble in the wind, my boys, there's trouble in the wind,
O it's "Please to walk in front, sir," when there's trouble in the wind.

You talk o' better food for us, an' schools, an' fires an' all:
We'll wait for extry rations if you treat us rational.
Don't mess about the cook-room slops, but prove it to our face
The Widow's Uniform is not the soldier-man's disgrace.

For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Chuck him out, the brute!"
But it's "Saviour of 'is country," when the guns begin to shoot;
An' it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' anything you please;
But Tommy ain't a bloomin' fool - you bet that Tommy sees!
