Poll question: News Videos vs Text . . . which do you prefer . . . ???
I'm often annoyed when a Yahoo story I click on turns out to be a video --

don't have time for it -- PLUS, they want to include an advertisement.

I find it too time consuming to get news via a video -- I much prefer text

which I can read quickly.

How about you -- ???

1. I guess I'm the only one lucky enough to have access to *both*...
So it's not an either/or for me.

7. I'm just getting back to more regular watching of C-span . . .
I've been really disconnected with GOP takeover.

Tho it still seems every time I tune into USHR there's a (R)on center stage going

on and on.

Comcast also took our C-span coverage of Senate away almost two years ago --

I can tune in via internet but it's not as handy. Often forget. So have to

get reacquainted with what's happening there.

Text means, I can work, read and listen to radio at same time -- !! Well, almost!

5. There *is* a growing number of video-only articles on some news sites
Not like BBC, where they're putting more and more embedded video in the actual text content, but I've gotten bit on Yahoo and CNN several times by an article that turned out to be thirty seconds of video framed by a minute of ads. Screw that.

8. Right ... I try not to, but often see the video symbol AFTER I hit the link --
hate the ADS and just drop the link immediately --

3. AGREE I hate it when they post videos but no text.
I have flash blocked for a reason and I'd rather just read two sentences than load up some stupid clip.

10. I really like both...
I'm particular about which I use because it depends on the subject. I like having either CNN or MSNBC on the TV when I'm cleaning house or whatever I happen to be doing, but if I'm sitting, I want to read and prefer more details about whatever subject I'm interested in.

This isn't a clear cut choice for me.
