2. It's a joke. These planes are not built to land in water-usually.
Can you imagine the added weight and how much more fuel would be needed to lug around those floats?

5. Did you even read my post? Floats will never be used on air carriers,
period, and it has nothing to do with me, my mother, your mother, or anyone else. It's not logical, it's not financially viable, ain't gonna happen.

how would you ever get those things to retract into the plane so it could land on land?? this is a JOKE and really should not be taken personally

8. they are generally able to withstand a water landing and stay afloat a bit.
sully wasn't the first one to do it successfully in a commercial jet loaded with passengers, either.
