Got no idea who would run as the dem but the guy who ran against her, Sandy Treadwell, is ready to go at it. He is a self-funding candidate who has name recognition.
I think we're so screwed.

10. Got that going on in my district right now (Rahm's)
The front runner (Mike Quigley) is 8 points up on the opposition who's already gone negative and nasty. And he lives 1/2 a block from me, I know him from walking his dog.

5. Albany Times-Union said the district will probably go away in redistricting
when NY loses a seat. The legislature can put parts into adjacent districts (and make the districts less weirdly gerrymandered)

9. I think it will be effective 2012. Not sure if redistricting can happen in stages
or if it will all be for 2012. so may get a GOPer for a few years.
