5. Boy, is that statement stupid.
Getting involved in politics because of a very common tragedy is heroic, not reason for ridicule.

and learned so much about the system I decided to run for office.

It's called grassroots activism. Many here on DU can relate to that; sorry you apparently cannot.

9. Gillibrand will be fine. If anything, Maloney and the progressives
who decided to run a primary challenger no matter who Paterson chose will not be able to come to terms with each other and so there will be several challengers.

12. The gun control era (error) is over folks
give it up because its not happening and shouldn't. I'm sorry to the people who have experienced gun violence. Just as I am for car accident victims and those that have had the misfortune to choke on an apples over the years. When I was about five my grandmother nearly died from choking on a drink of water.

Sympathy does not change reality. The guns are here to stay, they out number the actual people in the country.
