How would you punish this heartless bastard?
I'm at a loss. :grr:

MILWAUKEE -- A 32-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of leaving his two dogs unprotected from the cold, causing one to die of apparent exposure.

Prosecutors charged Brad Everett Alexander on Friday with one misdemeanor count of intentionally mistreating animals.

According to the criminal complaint, a police officer found a dead dog in Alexander's garage, and a second dog shivering in an uninsulated doghouse.

The complaint quotes Alexander as saying he last saw the dogs about three days earlier and both were alive. He said he last personally fed them about two weeks ago.

1. Why would someone like this have dogs in the first place?

2. Probably loved the "cute puppies."
But the "cute puppies" grew into dogs.

Happens quite often.

3. He should never in his life be allowed to have another or any other pet and he should have to go to
jail for at least 12 months.

4. I'd let him live outdoors in Wisconsin, "unprotected from the cold"
and have someone look in on him "about every three days" to see if he's alive. They could throw him some scraps every couple of weeks.

That's what I'd do to him, if I could.

6. I recently drove through the northern US, and saw lots of farm animals
out in the cold. Cows out in snow and 0-degree weather. I saw it in lots of places. I guess the thought is that they can go inside the barn if they want to, but don't cows and horses get frostbite, too?

(I know this is a dumb question, but I really want to know.)
