9. You're confusing fear with being informed

Fear by itself is irrational and it's what they use to keep you line and disempowered. Fear of the terrorists, fear of being attacked, yada, yada. Being informed is about empowerment and being able to face your irrational fears and overcoming them. One saps your energy and the other gives you something you can work with.

Of course the Pfizer and Sprint losses are bad too, but damn...20,000. Wow.

that I really feel for these folks.

My experience tells me that there will be lots of handwringing over all the job losses - but there won't be much in the way of assistance to help these folks find new jobs.

Hartmarx is now the parent company of Hickey Freeman, where my grandfather worked as a tailor in the early part of the 20th century. The Great Depression didn't do in Hickey Freeman, but this economy might. :(
