William Kristol: "Conservatives have been right more often than not"
Let's check the scoreboard, shall we?

The Economy
Conservatives - "The Fundamentals Of Our Economy Are Still Strong!" WRONG!
Liberals - "No, they're not." RIGHT!
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/15/mccain-fundamentals-of-th_n_126445.html

Trickle Down Economics
Conservatives - "The rich will trickle the wealth down to everyone else!" WRONG!
Liberals - "Oh, they'll just hoard it or put it in offshore tax shelters." RIGHT!
http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2009/01/gao-most-big-us.html

Foreign Policy
Conservatives supporting Pinochet and his pedophile torturers in Colonia Dignidad and murdering people such as Orlando Letelier here in the US? WRONG!
Conservatives showering Efrain Rios Montt with love in the United States, while he oversees the ethnic cleansing of a quarter of a million Mayans in Guatemala? WRONG!
Ronald Reagan giving chemical weapons to Saddam Hussein? WRONG!
Conservatives supporting contras, who then murder doctors and children and also flood the United States with cocaine? WRONG!

Kristol himself never said what one of the things that conservatives have been right about were, I challenge him to name one... Oh wait, I think I may have one.

"I admit it: the liberal media were never that powerful, and the whole thing was often used as an excuse by conservatives for conservative failures." RIGHT!
- William Kristol.

2. I wonder what it must be like
...to just not have a conscience or any sense of right and wrong at all? To just be able to spit out any BS at any time for a buck without blinking?

6. Has Kristol been right about anything?
And why would anyone give air time to this fucking idiot?
Nothing wrong with Kristol that couldn't be fixed with one of the wonderful products made by Fleet.

7. He does believe in a "welfare state"
Edited on Mon Jan-26-09 11:02 AM by Veritas_et_Aequitas
as long as government money doesn't go to support unwed mothers or the homeless.

(Yes, he wrote an essay on the subject).

8. Yes, He said, "They better find them" (referring to WMDs), inferring that the proverbial shit would
hit the fan if they did not. And he was right about that. Of course later he was, "no big deal, what WMDs?"

9. see kpete's 10:20 AM post re:
At end of Kristol's NYT op-ed today "This is William Kristol's last column." No good-bye, no "Thank you, Mr. Kristol." GOOD RIDDANCE! Thank YOU, NYT for finally getting this butt-hole off your site. A total AIPAC/PNAC shill. I'd like to hear his mother Gertrude Himmelfarb's whining...
Made my day...:bounce:

10. Remember: Kristol spearheaded the Palin VP disaster...
Kristol was her biggest supporter, after having dinner with her in Alaska.

He was smitten, and he thought she was sooooo sharp and intelligent.

That fact alone, leave Kristol with no credibility.

14. Well done
I was wondering what they were right about.

It is a credit to the NYT that it realized the mistake and mercifully released this wretched bore.
