Did anyone see the piece on CNN yesterday about military using Iraq action footage...
... as a tool to attract new recruits. Showed raw war footage. Both the interviewer and the military person went on and on about how great a tool this is and never once did the interviewer think to say, "So why is it that footage of war attracts young minds?" What the Fuck!

Kill, KILL, I wanna Kill! I wanna eat dead babies, and, and I wanna KILL! (something like that) -- from Arlo Guthrie anti war song.

1. Not quite
the military is very much aware that the human brain does not finish developing until you are anywhere from 22 to 25.

What is their target age?

You got it.

It looks exciting and at no time will a prospective troop truly think... hey it could be me getting killed.

And wanna bet they are not showing dead troops, or even injured ones?

To quote a 14 year old shot in a gang shoot out.

"Man it hurths like a mother fucker!"

Well, did you think it was going to?

"No man, I wasn't supposed to get shot!"

That is what you are dealing with

3. Actually, the frontal lobes are developing well into one's
thirties! If I heard it correctly, the frontal lobes are the area of the brain responsible for quality of work and the ability to see into the future; you know cause and effect!

2. No, I didn't see that but I did just watch the clip
of wolf interviewing Murtha about the bill they sent through today. wolf is such a tool, and Murha was really hot under the collar when he kept wording questions like it is going to be democrats fault that the troop will not have enough money. He also accused them of adding on money for different things including peanut farmers etc. (sorry I didn't catch the whole list) Anyway, Murtha came back that this was funding for those defistated by Katrina and Rita, and the things the last congress left undone. He did a good job of defending the democrats against wolf, but the whole time he was talking they had a split screen with scenes of the Iraq occupation on the other half of the screen. When they showed wolf, he had the whole screen, then they would switch back to Murtha and there were the war scenes again. CNN may be a little better than fox but not by much as far as I can see, that is why I don't watch any of them. I get all my news off the web.

4. I agree! I don't need a right-wing shill to interpret the news for me
either. I've never been a FOX watcher and I'm CNN-free since August 2003!
