3. The DOW is up 100 or so...
Couple of thoughts I had...

1. Everyone expects manufacturers to cut jobs. The expected doesn't have the shock value of the unexpected...

2. Cutting jobs/costs is what the investors want to see if the company is projecting poor future profits.

4. And just think: as recently as 6 months ago, Bush and the GOP was telling us how great things were.
The market was basically solid, the economy was slowing, but no recession.

LIARS. If justice is served, they will be held accountable for their actions.

5. They knew it was coming...
but Bush and Mr. "the fundamentals of the economy are strong" were just praying the economic collapse would hold off until after the election.

9. Yes.. it's a race to the bottom.
A soon as America is living like the Vietnamese poor, then CONgress will be happy. The wealthy uber-class is the only thing in America that counts.
