11. I'm affraid there is a grain of truth to what you say.

Many, many times I've been attacked up and down for something I didn't even write, I'd go back and forth with the attacker and never get anywhere with him/her because they apparently just were so upset they couldn't see straight to actually read what I'd written.

The first post I ever made here I wrote something to the effect that what the Democratic party needed was a candidate like John McCain, meaning someone able to inspire confidence and yuck it up with late night TV hosts, not the staid, robotic fare we'd put up in the past, and then went on into the second paragraph spelling out how we needed to return to a New Deal type government that responded to the people.

No one ever got to the second paragraph. Every post was pitchforks and torches and about an hour later I was gone. Luckily, I was able to successfully plead my case to the moderators that if they just read the reast of the post they'd see I wasn't a freeper.
