1. Pat is in total MELTDOWN!
Yesterday Shrum told him to "relax"...he was in "Watergate" mode. I counted him taking 4 drinks of water in one segment of Scarborough. Serious flashbacks...

He KNOWS this is it. Checkmate.

3. Patrick J. Buchanan is a Knight of Malta
and he's terrified that the plan he and his Crusader buddies hatched to make this nightmare come about is about to unravel.

8. They were the last to give up slavery in Europe
They much prefer the days of the Holy Roman Empire and Inquisition.

12. Most of the US KOM are not legit
Edited on Sat Mar-24-07 04:27 AM by formercia
they bought their way in for $3500. a year. They just want to be part of the 'boys'. The dangerous ones are the hereditary knights, big time monarchists, mostly in Germany. I suspect that's why Atta and his gang were based there. You don't see any terrorist attacks there for a good reason.

Bin Laden's organization was originally trained by 'Germans'.

Andreas Strassmeir, a German with connections to the German KOM was a principal in the OKC bombing. He was involved in training right-wing extremist groups at Elohim City.

A lot of upper echelon Italian Mafia are KOM.

11. I suspect he originally thought that meant
"night in Malta" where he caught VD from an underage prostitute and, untreated, it burned his brain.
An old buddy of mine used to describe him-and some other loud mouthed, lying crazy publickers- as "wormy brained"-having worms in his brain.

5. Buchanan has been nuts for ages, at least since he advised
Edited on Sat Mar-24-07 03:40 AM by EST
Nixon to fire Archibald Cox. I mean really, really nuts.

He was a speech writer for Nixon and his speeches were seldom used. He still believes tricky Dick was an honorable man and all his beliefs and emotional reactions were cast in stone, illogical, freeper crazy stone, during the early seventies.

As a "political analyst," virtually nothing he has ever predicted has come to pass. That must be a terrible psychic load, but he seems not to notice it.
He is an original freeper--so delusional that he just doesn't see it when reality differs from his own internal reality.

He is not a very intelligent man but he is sure, like Newt the Grinch, that he is the smartest man in the world, little noting that many of the talking hairdo shows have him on more as comic relief than anything else.
He claims to be a libertarian or, sometimes, a "conservative" and he does have a following, often described accurately enough as the "nutroots," which actually won him a republiclown presidential primary in one state in '96.

7. My question is, when is Buchanan NOT fucking insane?
He always has to YELL; I've yet to hear him speak in a normal tone of voice. And he always sounds so INDIGNANT while he's YELLING.

Pat, you need to take a freakin' chill pill. I'm surprised you haven't blown a gasket yet. :freak:

15. Poor Pat's having Watergate flashbacks
It's sort of like a war veteran who goes into a defensive crouch whenever a car backfires.

He's an isolationist conservative who has no use for Bush and his neocon cabal and therefore sometimes sounds quite sane, but when the subject of "Executive Privilege" comes up the old Watergate warrior is ready to do battle as if he were defending his beloved Nixon rather than Bush, a man he truly can't stomach.

When you hear him say "I had to testify to Congress under oath" that is post traumatic stress disorder speaking.

The man should probably see a therapist.

18. Wow! Good analysis!
Occasionally here at DU, Pat is our "favorite" conservative---those are the times when he goes after the Neo-Cons and AIPAC.

But yeah, he has a blind trigger point that goes back to Watergate. It's like holding a red flag up to a bull.

17. Put me down for Watergate flashbacks..(and fear)
Let me say this about him though--I have a relative in DC who has known Pat Buchannan personally for many years and has repeatedly told me even though his political views are loony, he is truly a very nice polite respectful person. I trust this persons judgement. I think Buchannan is scared that the same thing that happened to Nixon is about to happen to Chimpy and Co.

21. Even his combover looked crazed! Lawrence O'D. seemed to delight in
his ride on the crazy train.

Oh yeah and Tony Blankley's diet of crow and Bu$hit seems to have worked wonders. Looks like he's deflating right before our eyes.
