Rep. Nadler: 'Rove Will Testify or Go to Jail.'
from Bradblog.com

Senior Democratic House Judiciary member confident rule of law will be followed by Dept. of Justice under President Obama

A senior Democratic Congressman on the U.S. House Judiciary has said that either Karl Rove will testify before the committee, or he will go to jail.

...<snip>...

Speaking on MSNBC, Judiciary member Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) said last night that if Rove fails to show, in answer to a subpoena issued earlier this week, he'll be cited for Contempt of Congress. Then, he said, "the grand jury indicts him, you arrest him for contempt, and you put him in jail until he is prepared to testify to obey the subpoena."

6. Looks like someone did not get the memo that the date has been extended by mutual agreement.
If anyone thinks that this is going to be a momentous event, they are sorely mistaken. Its a non public deposition and its clear that even that will be litigated for some time before anything substantive happens.

12. If only.
I hope they are serious. We've been disappointed by Congress's lack of follow through on this before. I just hope this time they do arrest the bastard. This is what I want to see:

13. Yeah, sure, whatever you say
Somehow, that "third option" always keeps popping up - doing NOTHING.
