Link Tv today / GM crops
I know there was alot of talk about this issue on DU a few weeks back .

My wife and I sort of avoid Link during the week , we have enough horrors to attempt to sort through with all of the war issues and vet issues .

This program was troubling to say the least . Not that we did not have an idea of this sort of thing but seeing it and the animal gene tampering was very depressing and startling stuff .

If this was not bad enough , knowing once the altering has begun there is no way to bring back what was natures intent , this was the scary part .

3. thanks! this is a great show.
india has probably been the hardest hit byGMOs due to many different factors, but mostly it is the willingness of the country to modernize coupled with the corruption and big bucks brought in by monsanto and their subsidiary mayhco. thousands of indian cotton farmers have committed suicide in the past few years due to contracts they signed with monsanto that essentially forced them into debt and virtual slavery/indentured servitude.

5.  It's horrible isn't it ?
I felt so bad for the Indian women who has such hope and felt so proud of the plants they have for medicine .

I also recall the poor workers in China building roads and buildings for the Olympics who were not paid for their years work and many could not afford to return to their families and leaped off the buildings they constructed .

American corps use these countries and now they have turned on us , the american workers not to meantion how these mega corps have all but destroyed nature with their sick experiments .

I just don't understand why on earth nature is not good enough or why it has to be altered . It is just for the all mighty dollar .

8. that's Vandanna Shiva. she's a hero of mine!
you should google her and learn more. i think you should even be able to watch some video of a bill moyers discussion/interview w/her and some other stuff. she is an amazing woman. that this little hindu woman from rural india could take on multi-national corporate behemoths like monsanto and coca-cola and pepsi-co and bring them to their knees at least gives one a glimpse of hope. and isn't she beautiful? when she smiles she just lights up everything around her.

4. I have both Link and FSTV as part of DishNetwork. What is the name of
the show to which you are referring and the topic? I can't tell if it is GM (for cars) or something dealing with mass market food (not organic crops).
