The best thing you can do to attack elRushbo is IGNORE HIM
He gets power from your reaction. Ignore him, listen to something else and when anyone else talks about a rush talking point in an effort to pick a fight with you, just giggle and walk away. I have been doing this with people I know who listen to inSanity (because of "local traffic reports" on the local AM radio).

Just walk away. Save your efforts for another fight, one worth fighting.

1. I agree..
You ignore him and more and more the hot bag of air slowly deflates.. Let him and his 20% or so the pop who worship him just gather and do circle jerks while the rest of us go on with life and try to fix this country..

2. He's not attacking Limbaugh, he's using Limbaugh to attack the Republicans.
He's forcing them to choose between the ultra-right-wing and the swing voters.

3. I will continue to point out that this fat pig went to a country that
is known for it's sex trade, especially sex with children. He is rich enough to easily have adult women girlfriends in this country yet went to the Dominican Republic and was busted with Viagra prescribed under a false name.
This smells like a pedophile. I do not listen to this jerk because I have never agreed with anything he believes and because just listening to a potential pedophiles voice is sickening to me.

4. Just giggle and say "That fat drug addict who indulges his shameful perversions in third world
Carribean nations beset by poverty? Who cares what he has to say! He's about as relevant as ... Morton Downey, Junior!"

If they have no idea who Morton Downey Junior is (many do not remember him), and say "Who's Morton Downey, Junior?" your response should be "I rest my case."

FWIW, Morton Downey Junior was one of the earlier users of "Hate" as a franchise-grower in the national media: http://www.mortondowneyjr.com/mortondowney.html

10. Also don't forget Joe Pyne.
Morton Downey based his persona on Joe Pine.

"Pyne was rude and confrontational with guests, often attempting to throw them off, but there are stories of the rare times when someone got the better of him. One famous tale is that he lost a verbal duel with Frank Zappa. Pyne insulted Zappa by saying, "So I guess your long hair makes you a woman." Zappa allegedly replied, "So I guess your wooden leg makes you a table." While it sounds plausible, no one who was around at that time recalls it happening, nor is there any evidence that Frank Zappa was ever on the Joe Pyne Show. Internet re-tellings of the story never say when it is supposed to have happened, strongly suggesting it is only an urban legend."

5. I agree.
I have had many a talk with my brother in law, a Rush junkie, about how things are going in this country. Now he admits Bush didn't do a good job, but he still tries to put all the blame on the democrats, like Rush tells him. He always puts down the media as the "liberal" media, and says he doesn't listen to the news on TV. Anyway I always end up asking him where he gets all is info, what sources do you have, and the ticks him off, but pretty much ends things since he "claims" he only listens to Rush because he is funny, not for political input since he is a Jehovah's Witness and "claims" to be neutral! He does get really mad sometimes and I just tell him we should stop talking politics because it isn't worth arguing about, then I tell him I have things to do so I have to go. Works great! Arguing won't do anything with Rush followers but get them mad, they just can't seem to come up with any kind of rational argument, but can only spew what Rush says on the radio, no matte how stupid it may be.

Too many think he is an everyday average fellow.

Let the light shine on him brightly.

7. We ignored the criminals under Nixon and Reagan and look what happened
Rumsfeld, Cheney et al. They took advantage of being ignored and eventually came back to destroy everything they could before we, the people with our heads in the sand were aware enough to do something. And we may be doing too little, too late.

9. That didn't work very well for Bill Clinton.
"Limbaugh was feeling out the new administration, looking for where the new boundary was. Clinton, attempted to ignore Limbaugh until he couldn't, and ended up sputtering blame-filled whining about the entertainer that Limbaugh relished."

11. Twenty years ago, I would have agreed with you.
Limbaugh and his listeners come from a place that America has left, and it is not going back any time soon. These people are afraid of anybody who doesn't look act or talk like they do. That is what motivates them.
The Democrats are using Limbaugh the same way the Republicans have used Micheal Moore, Jesse Jackson or the ACLU the past thirty years. They are taking people who are perceived to be on the extremes, who are supposedly unpopular, and associating them with the whole party.
Their party is so small right now and the Limbaugh people are substantial enough in number that the politicians can't separate from them, even though the rest of the country rejects them. Thats why they are so screwed.

How'd that work out?

I say we expose his GOP funded, drug addicted, alleged pedophile ass now, while we have the chance.

13. sorry, I've been ignoring him since the early '90's, but that doesn't
seemed to have had any impact. Now I think the only way to discredit those who listen to him is to give him full exposure.

14.  Ignoring him has been a disaster
Limbaugh can lie and spread hatred at will because everybody is afraid of him. He's the most influential Republican in the country. Limbaugh couldn't stand real opposition because he's so easily exposed as a hate spreading liar. Obama is brilliant to take him on.

15. WRONGO! People need to hear his spiel and realize that when they
see the repukes on TV spewing their nonsense, the source of most of that nonsense is a radio "entertainer."
