Isn't this an odd place we find ourselves in? Shit hitting the fan, our president in charge,
Republics still acting like the assholes that they are, every news cycle bringing more and more dire news of layoffs and closings, a financial crisis that is without precedent for most people's lifetimes (meaning that NO one really understands it, or how to fix it). I get onto DU and notice that there is a feeling of not really knowing what to say, or where to put our energy.

Part of me thinks that the shit is going to hit the fan to such a degree that it will be unprecedented - that few of our lives will NOT be profoundly impacted, that we are in deeply uncharted territory.

Thankfully the adults (with magnificent brains) are now in charge. That in itself won't guarantee that things won't get pretty horrendous.

I guess my point is that this is as disorienting a period as we've seen - either in a long long time, or ever. Just glad Obama is driving the bus! (if only the bus could run over a certain "corpulent drug addled" radio personality!)

1. IMO it's wasted presidential political capital to engage in a name calling contest with a mere radio
personality.

2. I can't get over the attention the Stimulus Bill is getting from the MSM.

Doesn't anyone understand that that's only meant to tide us over a few months until the real efforts to fix this mess can be put together?

For the Republicans to be complaining about new sod for the National Mall is akin to them telling someone he isn't rearranging the deck chairs properly!

4. It is very Odd?......
The shit is going to hit the fan very soon. March..Dow hits 6000...

Gasoline spikes again and we are all fucked. I don't know if the Federal Govt can stop the dreaded "downward Spiral" of depression.

Republicans are still playing games.. still messing with the economy. This is not going to end well... we are on the edge of the abyss ..that the REPUBLICANS created for us.

America will yet look like the Gaza Strip ... shock and awe ..

Our elected politicians, police officers and military do NOT serve the Americian people.
