This is what a group of individuals decided was in the stimulus based on various programs suggested by different cities and states. No money has been specifically targeted in the bill, not one project that I'm aware of.

anyway, again, it looks to me like a temporary fix. Until Obama addresses the bleeding of all the jobs to other countries, this will only last for so long. he needs to force the corporations to bring all the jobs back to the US and he needs to cut their golden parachutes and tax the hell out of them. and he needs to keep them from benefitting from offshore accounts. Until then, this is a great idea but it wont last long. oh, and nationalize the banks.

She has a nice office and never has to touch a shovel.

Clerical
Project Manager
CEO (yes her boss is a women)


Creating construction jobs puts a lot of people back to work.

34. I was actually referring to the listings

on the OP's referenced website. The listings in my area were for people who work building new roads. My problem with such stimulus projects is that it's tilted too much toward one area - construction. I'm not trying to deny construction workers jobs but there are lots of other job areas, such as IT, such as manufacturing, that should be included in the job portion of the stimulus package. Anyway, I was being specific to my area.

And I have neighbors (about 20 households) just down the road from me that have been fighting for 10 years to get city water. The project requires extending a fucking pipe one half mile along a long existant right of way. Six months out of the year these people have to bring their water to the house in tanks on the back of pick up trucks. You tell me something isn't dead ass wrong here.
