A new kind of STRIKE....

The sheer extravagance of the Banks that have received Bailout monies is repugnant.

and we are all sitting here, citing the new stories that turn up every day of these wild parties, executive salaries, etc And the congress crittrers have even jumped on the bandwagon to say a few nasty things here & there...

But it hasn't stopped them, has it?

So, here's my new idea.
It is a little extreme, but when things are heading into the toilet, we may as well send em down there with a m-80!!!

1. Go to the Govt site that lists every bank that has received TARP funds & how much
2. let's compile a list of the top 5 offenders, maybe even the top 10
3. we take ALL our money OUT of said banks, CRASH the motherfuckers

(now, those with CD's, IRA's, etc are thinking that it is stupid because they would face penalties or capital gains, etc... but if you are going to LOSE that money in the long run, what's a couple grand in fees to make a point!!!???)

The ONLY way there will be any taste of justice is if we go vigil-ante on their asses. WE the PEOPLE are the ones with the POWER here!!! The only thing that banlks understand is money. If we decide to comepletely boycott ALL the crooks...they will have nowhere to go but to the welfare line with the rest of us.

and THAT is the best justice I can think of!

3. That is not a new kind of strike, that is a boycott.

The plan wouldn't work without celebrity endorsements. Even if it did work, the bankers will still walk away with buckets of cash. They can do whatever they want, whenever they want, and openly laugh at us the whole time. I would be surprised to see Obama change this.

4. actually, if we take the money out of their banks,

then it can become OURS again...and then we can se to re-distributing it in a healthier way.

I guess I am just too naieve in thinking that this could be done in an altruistic way. I was hoping to counteract the greed by taking back our own assets...

5. I am in the process of doing this right now

and JP Morgan is making it as difficult as possible. They dont want to give up a cent!

I lost 40% of my IRA last month. I can think of a million better ways to get some benefit out of that money rather than watch it disappear

I plan to take a week, go down to Fla and be a beach bum
That account has never made any progress anyway. 6 years is long enough to wait for some form of profit and now I'm taking it back. Vacation, pay some bills and stick the rest in Scotttrade.
A monkey pushing buttons could maintain that account as good as ol' JP did, I'll see how I fare on my own!

(and as the rest of the activism goes, you know, the whole altruism thing.. can you spare a something to a needy cause out of that windfall? If you have a pet cause or local foodbank, a little would help keep that idea alive)

and spread the word!
If the banks are just going to HOLD money -
we can do more GOOD to spread it around and make ourselves better off and a happier people in the process!

7. I have a simple investing method

if you want to see if a business is on the rise or going down the toilet, go there
does it look like a graveyard, do the employees seem like they dont want to be there
STAY AWAY!

are the lights bright, shelves stocked, customers in the isles?
Check out what they have to offer!


Do you see a future powered by wind or corn or even something else?
put your money in it!

another account that did well was based on the theroy that Bush did NOTHING unless there was profit involved for his cronies-and I was right
But that time is done and its all in renewable energy now
