They think they should be free to plunder (gouge, take from) anybody, anywhere, whenever they please. If they can get someone to sign a contract against their own interest (be it for trade or an individual debt), out of duress, or misinformation, or ignorance... then jolly good! the game is on!
If they can go somewhere and take somebody else's job and way of life, instead of building-up their own jobs and way of life in their own country... then jolly good! the game is on!
That fits my idea of a "cowboy mentality", how about you? (I'd use the word "pirate" myself, and I mean no disparagement to good cowboys - I think the idea of renegade lawlessness was what was referred to; it wasn't my choice to use that term but someone else's. I see a lot of irony in the idea anyway, since as I said, I think the meaning that was intended fits free traders to a "T".)
At least they're consistent... they treat American workers here just like the Third World (it's always all about lower wages). That displays a fine sense of egalitarianism as a "citizen of the world" though, doesn't it? How enlightened of them, to be so universal about it!
I must say, I'm impressed by it. WFE
