Name an act of fairness or bipartisanship the Repubs did any time in the last 28 years, |
|
Regan's attitude to our side was essentially "I'm a happy go lucky cold warrior and you're a schmucky commie. Fuck you. I'm a happy go lucky supply sider and you're a schmucky commie. Fuck you"
Poppy's attitude was a facade of kindness and gentleness masking a truly malevolent heart that gave our side NOTHING.
Clinton was at war with the Republicans from before his first inauguration. They were outrageous and relentless in their partisanship, right up to the impeachment over a blow job.
Surely the scars of the Bush The Lesser era have yet to even scab over.
So ..... the question in the thread title: Name just one act of fairness or bipartisanship the Repubs did any time in the last 28 years,

newt gingrich wanted Bill Clinton to get all the credit for shutting down the government after newt had a temper tantrum about the Air Force One Alleged snub. It was almost as christian a display as when newt gave divorce papers to his bed ridden wife.

4. You can actually go back to Nixon as VP with Dwight Eisenhower |
|
...and still not find republicans acting out of fairness or bipartisanship. They acted for the good of the country out of embarrassment especially when it came time to impeach Nixon over the criminal cover ups.

8. Howard Baker's questioning during Watergate. |
|
"What did the President and when did he know it?"
He also supported Jimmy Carter's Panama Canal Treaty.
Other than that, I can't think of anything.

They did turn over the White House on Jan. 20, 2009?
They didn't nuke San Francisco?
Hmm, hard to think of another.

19. Oh .... I was looking at the same things, but from a different angle |
|
Some repubs saw the Clinpeachment as payback for what we did to Nixon. It is in that sense that I thought you were saying the Clinpeachment was bipartisan.
The vote to acquit Clinton was, yup, more or less bipartisan.
