But his publicist hushed it up, paid them off, promised them something, or they just felt bad for causing him such bad publicity. Maybe he had a legitimate beef against them--maybe they were squeezing him for money, but I still thought it was likely that he got too rough with them or at the very least yelled and screamed at them and scared them.

The DP fucked up, there is no doubt about it. Bale acted like a jerk, but the DP probably deserved to be fired for jacking around on the set while they were filming. You would think a DP would have respect for what the director and actors are trying to do. Sounds like he interrupted several scenes throughout filming that day.

The incident itself to me is hilarious. It just shows how egotistic movie stars are. And Bale is about as intense of an actor as you'll find in Hollywood. He takes his roles very seriously, which makes his outburst even funnier. He takes himself WAY too seriously. LOL.

His Batman voice was a huge distraction in both of then Nolan films. I was trying to figure out why it bothered me so much, then I caught Howl's Moving Castle a few weeks ago and noticed he used the EXACT SAME accent and tone in that movie. It sounds so affected.

A lot of people would lose their temper if they felt a co worker was deliberately sabotaging their work. That is what happened here. This man was forcing re-shoots, repeatedly.
