YET ONCE AGAIN..to frame the argument to their advantage!!!

Why the hell is Chris Matthews now questioning the stimulus bill?
Why is he pushing the repuke meme that this is actually a spending bill?

AND WHY THE HELL ISN'T THERE ANYONE ON HIS SHOW TO DISAGREE WITH HIM?

1. Because you're listening to too much media yakking.
Public opinion is overwhelmingly in favor of the stimulus.

17. Senate republicans can't help make the stimulus a reality because in the end, Obama
will take credit. They can't allow that to happen and it does not line up with Limbaugh. IMO, they will stop the stimulus progress in the senate with a vote against cloture.

2. Back away........
The new administration is thirteen days old.

The cable news shows are nonsense, as you well know.

Tweety is a jerk who has a few cogent moments a year.

And you're far too wrapped up in this stuff.

Go for a walk, eat some ice cream, read a wonderful book, sing along with your music player of choice, use all that energy you have to clean the area around your computer.

Or get over here and clean the bathrooms.................................

10. I just baked a batch of these.........

and just the heavenly scent makes me feel better about everything.

We're all pigs at our computers. Maybe you can explain to me why I have a ton of really good jewelry scattered all over here, including FIVE STRANDS OF PEARLS?

I have no idea how it ended up in here.

See? We're all nuts............

My gut tells me that Obama's making all the right moves and it will pay off in about a year. Patience, my friend. Patience. :)

7. I turned that jackass off several weeks ago.
I get tired of puke....puke! Even my boss came up to me and said she was fed up with listening to the MSM because it was so awful and biased. These people are traditional pubs but she voted for Obama. People are sick of it. I decided I was going to pay as little attention as possible to them.

8. to all those who say "just turn it off". .
It is important to know how the media is pushing the story. We can't counter an argument we don't understand. Media watching is one of the most important functions of the internet. Without active interfering with the creation of "conventional wisdom" by these guys... J.Q. (not as engaged as we are) Public will NEVER hear the real story...

We don't know the flavor of the shit they're being fed if we "just turn it off". . .

Turning it off and letting it stand is exactly what they want us to do.

11. I don't think so
See, we're a vast minority, and those shows are not watched by the majority of the populace here in America. These people simply feed on each other, that's all. They're like the money managers on Wall Street - they don't manufacture anything, they simply survive by picking on the accomplishments of others.

I've been in Washington since 1973, and, I have to tell you, the "media" is dumber by a light year than it ever was. I don't anticipate any sudden intellectual upturn in my lifetime.

The crap they dish on these shows never makes it beyond the TV set, believe me. They're impotent, and that's why they yell so much.

12. They ARE watched by the beltway crowd and the media hacks.
This is what creates the echo affect. They are referenced in larger venues..

13. What larger venues?
I have yet to see any cable news show - beyond Wolf Blitzer and CNN - referred to in any kind of authoritative way by any other outlet.

and therefor not requiring further scrutiny.

19. Worthless
That's worthless and not at all meaningful. It's chatter, nothing more, nothing of substance, certainly.

Those sad old talking heads are superfluous and not the big bad insiders they like to think they are. The new game in town has changed everything, and if anyone gives Pat and/or Bay Buchanan a seat and a microphone, they're insane.

You're giving these two-bit circus performers far too much credit. They have no influence, beyond their viewers, and they have absolutely no power beyond whatever credibility their viewers give them.

They're roundly out of touch with the reality of what's going on in Washington and have no platform beyond cable news and the small viewership.
