So how do they justify a Senator from Kentucky dictating what an New Hampshire Governor should do?

2. When is Obama going to play hardball? That's the game the Republicans are playing

You'd think with all the concessions he has already made, that ONE PERFECTLY LEGAL GRAND SLAM, a move that Republicans
would assay with glee, pointing their fingers at us and laughing, a move that could conceivably SAVE OUR COUNTRY
in the next two harrowing years (because having 60 in the Senate would make our agenda possible
instead of a dream up close.)

Now we can look forward to bitter battles and failure instead of a smooth transition to the future.

I am very disappointed. I thought Obama could do this. Now I wonder if it isn't just the same old bait and switch.

3. All I can say is

when Obama takes the high road, like he did in the Debates, or as he did with the House vote on the Stimulus, he looks better to the American people and the Repukes look worse. I think his gambit is too get most of what he wants while looking bipartisan while the Repukes end up marginalizing themselves.

Blago got impeached for talking about cutting a deal. Roland Burris is labeled as a 'tainted Senator'.

Yet a deal was cut in this situation and everybody is 'ok' with it. What's wrong with this picture?

5. He'll be able to accomodate eventually. Not all GOP Senators are assholes.

Olympia Snow and Susan Collins are "gettable" especially if there's something in it for the state of Maine. He'll just have to hand out a few treats here and there.
