"The Campaign Manager" TV series

Because of the success of news shows during the 2008 election, NBC is going to launch an new series about the life of a campaign manager, Frank Pollard. The series will follow him as he travels around the country setting up shop and bringing a small cadre of trusted lieutenants to help him run the campaign. Pollard will have to deal local party leaders, national party leaders, local volunteers and various other odd characters.

Each season will be a different campaign where the candidate will be a well-known actor.

Season 1 is going to have Martin Sheen as a retired Ohio teacher who decides to run for the state Senate.

The opening scene is of Pollard getting an early morning call to go to Ohio to run the campaign...he gets out of bed to shower and reveals his homosexual lover.
