Tom Tancredo and Mike Rosen (a host on KOA radio) lose money invested with Madoff
Denver Post

"Agile Group, a Boulder wealth-management firm, has frozen client accounts since last fall and warned investors, including former U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo and KOA talk-show host Mike Rosen, to expect heavy losses.

Agile has failed to provide a detailed explanation about why the money was lost, Brega said. Greenberg did not respond to an interview request.

Clients were told the firm had placed money with Bernard Madoff, accused of swindling investors out of $50 billion in the world's largest Ponzi scheme, and Tom Petters, a Minneapolis businessman indicted on 20 counts of fraud that could cost investors up to $3.5 billion.

Neither disclosed how much money he held with Agile, but a disclosure form Tancredo filed with his 2007 presidential bid listed $530,000 to $1.1 million invested in the Agile Safety Fund, which generated $15,000 to $50,000 a year in income for him."

4. Rosen was talking about it this morning in his first hour
He said he's not looking for sympathy but he won't be able to retire when he hoped or as comfortably. He's 64. Boo-hoo.

Did you see his recent Opinion piece in the Rocky about the PERA retirement system? I posted a response the other day. I'm a PERA retiree and it ticked me off. Funny thing is, I mentioned Madoff in my response.

16. The poor dear
Gosh, 64 and he took a beating in the market with the other high-flyers. Somehow, I don't suppose sitting behing a microphone and irresponsibly mouthing off takes quite the physical toll of so many other jobs. I'm guessing that Mr. Rosen will be able to pursue his "profession" for just about as long as he wants to, thanks to corporate welfare bankrolling of a dependable mouthpiece.

2. Couldn't happen to two nastier NeoCons
Rosen is just this side of Limpballs. A Bush toadie from the beginning and an especially smug one.

I don't feel sorry for him one bit.

6. And he's such a sour grape
Now I know why he wrote his Opinion piece the other day in the Rocky about the PERA retirement system. Misery loves company. We PERA retirees have a safety net and he didn't. Of course, his nest egg was much larger than mine could ever be.

Mike Rosen. No one is more deserving of his reward.

12. Back when we had lots of liberal talkers on the radio...
In the 1970s, pre-Rush, I'd listen to Rosen once in a while. I was out in the field a lot for social services, so I'd listen to them all while driving around town.

Rosen crabbed over Carter and swooned over Reagan. You get the picture.

Interesting that he wrote an Op-Ed for the Rocky the other day blasting the PERA retirement system, as if it's the problem and not the worldwide economy. I guess he can't stand the idea of us state retirees having a safety net. I wrote a comment to his article saying something about how we weren't going to take the last coins from his pocket. Maybe I ought to retract that. He may only have a few coins left.

:hi: from Lakewood!

15. I would.
In fact, I'd love to see this happen to MORE of these smug, arrogant, condescending conservative assholes. I would love to see them lose EVERY FUCKING PENNY. I'd love to see how they react to suddenly finding themselves cast among the poor they've spent their entire political career reviling.
