Admins, Mods, Anybody... is there a way to hide the "formerly" text?

you know the bold red text that says DUer formerly known as... I don't care who they used to be really... you can hide almost everything else in the options...


or will these just go away eventually once everyone has had time to cope?

16. If you're using a browser that allows the use of custom style sheets

Create a .css file and place in it this declaration:

div.sigline {display: none;}

Save the .css file and in your browser preferences set that stylesheet as the one you wish to use.

This will hide ALL siglines, however. You can modify it so that it only hides the "new" siglines:

div.sigline font b {display:none;}

Of course if you don't know what the hell CSS is then you should probably not attempt this.

red lettering is used for the purpose of letting readers know the post has been edited, which is a useful feature


I mean I think it is good to know someone changed their name but it should be like a clickable asterisk* by their username or something less intrusive
