What do you watch on TV in the AM?
Even though I didn't like the show's conservative bend, I'd been watching Morning Joe. But this morning when Mika fully, and I mean entirely, agreed with Joe about the stimulus package being all pork, I decided that was the last time I'd watch the show. It's just a bunch of conservatives chatting. So I put CNN on, which was boring like usual but at least it wasn't purely conservative. What do you watch?

7. Dare I say
"Ditto"?

The quiet of the morning is far too sweet to be sullied by the honking of a TV show of any kind.

13. Indeed, although I'm more of a paper man.
That ruins my morning in a whole different way.

Edited on Tue Feb-03-09 05:32 PM by EFerrari
because they do a good job of picking out the day's hot stories.

And, also Amy Goodman on DemocracyNow! which can also be streamed from her site.

I wouldn't touch CNN or MSNBC with a ten foot kitten. They're awful. The only time I watch them is to see how they're approaching a story so I can write about how awful they are. :)

26. Porno!!
No, seriously though, I read a newspaper. I've never been one for TV in the early AM until I've at least had 2 cups of coffee. Even then, most of what passes for "news" is shit.

28. Local LA news
Ever since 9/11 I wake up worried that we've all gone to hell, so I'm compelled to check the news in the morning. Then the traffic report, because my commute, though only 21 miles, goes from the coast to downtown... and I take two freeways... crossing three other freeways... lots of room for problems there.

I've taken a break for them and have been in the look out for something else. I think I'll start dvring another show so I can watch that in my mornings.

Every once in a blue moon I listen to Imus on the internet. I haven't done that lately, though. I may tune in tomorrow, just to see who he's griping about these days.

32. I try to find a movie to watch while I get ready.
If the weather is funky I check local news/weather. Otherwise, I just find a movie with no socially redeeming value. I am so sick of morning CNN, MSNBC, and lets not talk about faux since I don't even let them grace any of my TV's.

33. I'm entirely with you. I have regularly watched Morning Joe
since it began, but Mika has been getting more and more disgusting, and I changed the channel to CNN this morning, too. She was REALLY bad today.

I guess I'll keep watching Morning Joe for a while and see how it goes. I can't stand much more of Mika, though. Of course Joe is a tool, but somehow I find Mika even more sickening. She has no spine whatsoever anymore, if she ever did.
