Yes this is about Daschle.. He is no saint, but this continual kneecapping of Democrats is starting to get under my skin.

Now we have all this speculations about Rahm, Dean.. What if Dean gets the nod, and the republicans start to hose him down with lye and something pops up..

Is Dean then going to be thrown to the wolves?

No one is a saint, scratch anyone who is seeking office, and you will find a flawed human being.

Probably best in the long run that Daschle decided to step down, but can we stop throwing logs on the funeral pyre.

1. I suppose that if Daschle was a Republican
Barack Obama would have come to his defense and urged his appointment, you know in that one sided bi-partisan spirit.

Why Obama is rolling over like he didn't win is beyond me.

2. Bravo! And good luck to finding anyone who is a saint....
I think that Holder should start hinting at investigating the Bush administration and congress complicity and maybe they rethuglicans will back off! I don't know what to do about the media though. I'm glad that Obama called them in for interviews as that is the only way to get through the media filter. From some things Ive been reading, they have only been booking republicans to there shows to stoke the controversy and bickering for ratings purposes. The Dems can't get through. Obama I believe realizes this.

We'll see

9. Of course we care if they pay their taxes.. but do we have to eat their livers?
What worries me is this purity test being administered.. because, that will always backfire. People make mistakes, big, small, and that will keep them out of office. But do we have to do the republicans one better and burn them at the stake.

Now everyone is rushing for Dr. Dean. God help him if something comes up about his taxes, or something in his past. Because then he will be hauled out and skinned alive.

6. The Republicans do a better job of keeping their dirty laundry buried.
They are in office for quite a few years before their foul stench can't be hid any longer. That is one difference. By the time you get to that level of politician, no one is really honest.

8. Funny, Democrats aren't tired of it!
This was their old hobby...

And this is their new hobby.

That's the principle. Democrats fight with each other and backstab their leaders. Republicans are ordered to support their appointed leader and stick together, no matter how much they hate each other's guts. Guess which principle has influenced the nation more over the last few decades.

11. Admit it....
If it was a Republican who had not paid their taxes we would not be happy about it either. Personally I agree more or less with what you wrote but I think Daschle looks pretty yucky with that egg all over his face. His response of not knowing what was going on is fairly questionable too...

I would like for Obama to quit appointing Republicans - it's getting on my nerves. :eyes:
