Cheney Resigns, Rice Becomes VP And Negroponte ....
becomes Secretary of State.

Kinda makes sense.

" The CC Insider/InDecider has just heard more rumors (see earlier posts) from a SECOND reliable source that Dick Cheney will be stepping down as Vice President and will be replaced as Vice President by Condoleezza Rice. And now we're hearing that she would like to be on the ticket as the GOP VP candidate in '08.

According to our rumor-meister, John Negroponte will be filling Condi's current position as Secretary of State. Negroponte is currently the Director of National Intelligence (the first person ever to hold the few-years-old position) and the former US Ambassador to Iraq."

2. Don't think so.
Having Cheney as a placeholder will discourage the prospect of impeachment, meaning that Congress can't and won't impeach both president and vice president. And besides, who would tell * which foot goes in which shoe?

5. 'Cuse me...bush might be the deceider BUT
CONGRESS HAS TO APPROVE any new Vice president. Do you in your wildest dreams think they would ever approve someone like rice. Because she ignored all the warning signs given to her I think she bears a heck of a lot of the responsiblity for the 9/11 attack. And not only the democrats would approve her, I doubt if she would have any where near a majority of republicans who would.

8. Condi is PRO CHOICE.
Edited on Fri Jan-26-07 06:53 PM by impeachdubya
Who are these would-be "political analysts" that don't understand who runs the fucking GOP? Haven't they been paying attention? I would suggest they not quit their day jobs at the car wash.

Hello! The whackjob, ban-the-birth-control-pill, mandatory prayer in schools, 15 ton granite ten commandments monument, creationist fundy numbnuts have the republican party in a hammerlock. Particularly the primary process. NO ONE WHO IS PRO CHOICE is getting anywhere near the 2008 nomination. Not for president, not for veep. That goes for Condi as it goes for Rudy.

I will personally eat my hat if proven wrong on this, but don't worry- I won't be.

10. Nope
Condi would never be confirmed by a Dem congress.

It would sure be fun to listen to her testify at confirmation hearings though... and then get turned down.
