"Former war correspondent Wurzelbacher"
Joe the Plumber advises GOP-ers
By ALEX ISENSTADT | 2/2/09 7:26 PM EST

Fresh off his stint as a war correspondent in Gaza, Joe the Plumber is now doing political strategy with Republicans.

When GOP congressional aides gather Tuesday morning for a meeting of the Conservative Working Group, Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher – more commonly known as Joe the Plumber — will be their featured guest. This group is an organization of conservative Capitol Hill staffers who meet regularly to chart GOP strategy for the week.

Wurzelbacher, who became a household name during the presidential election, will be focusing his talk on the proposed stimulus package. He's apparently not a fan of the economic rescue package, according to members of the group.

If nothing else, GOP aides are using the appearance to get staffers to attend the 9 a.m meeting.

1. That's an excellent plan.

He's clearly an intelligent and shrewd political operative and I can see why any Republican would want to pick his brain for strategies.:eyes:

Edit: removed a stray "b"

3. I've mocked the Rebubs plenty, but I'm really starting to think they've gone totally insane.
Seriously, they might not be kidding with their "Joe the Plumber"
and "Sarah Palin" shit...I'm starting to wonder if this isn't just
"Political Theater", but the actual DEATH THROES of the Republican Party.

If they continue the way they're going, I can see a day 20 years from now
when the Republicans are listed on the Presidentail ticket UNDER
the Greens and the American Socialists.

If they keep "focusing on their core bullshit" the way they seem to be,
they're gonna go the way of the Whigs.

10. I really don't think they might.
I think there's a FREIGHT TRAIN that hit them 26 months ago,
and they still won't admit that they heard THAT screaming whistle
when it gave them a year's notice.

And I'm starting to suspect that they aren't lying- their heads are
so far up their asses, they really didn't hear it, and they have NO CLUE
what that huge 'kaboom' that knocked them into a ditch was.

I think that's a good Metaphor for the Rubublican Party:
It was a busload of greedy asswipes that got hit by a commuter train,
it's in pieces in a ditch and 1/3rd of the passengers are DEAD & GONE,
but Rush Limbaugh is still sitting in the driver's seat spinning the wheel
and yelling "All is well, that was just a speed bump".

And half the survivors are listening to him, and belting themselves back into
their blood-soaked assigned seats.

I was watching CNN's election coverage of the '06 mid-terms. When they called that 51st Senate seat for the Dems, the color drained out of Bill Bennett's face. Not sure if he walked or ran, but when they came back from commercial break he was gone baby gone. That's when I started to understand that the "permanent republican majority" was coming to an end faster than I'd hoped.

(There's probably a lesson in there somewhere for those who think we now have a "permanent" Democratic majority.)

"It's for sure a white man's world in America. Look here: I raised that boy since he was the size of a piss-ant. And I'll say right now, he never learned to read and write. No, sir. Had no brains at all. Was stuffed with rice pudding between th' ears. Shortchanged by the Lord, and dumb as a jackass. Look at him now! Yes, sir, all you've gotta be is white in America, to get whatever you want. Gobbledy-gook! "

8. War Correspondant? The people of Sderot "can't do normal things day to day" like get soap in their
eyes" "I'm sure they're taking quick showers," he said. "I know I would."

"I have thousands of questions but I can't think of the right one."

Now lets face it, if their advisor is too stupid to close his eyes when washing his face or bald head, and thinks it is normal to get soap in his eyes daily, BE THANKFUL. They are on the path to self destruction.

I doubt it. But he's a Republican, so that's OK.

This guy is a poster child for Republican incompetence, hypocrisy, idiocy, and juvenile hubris.

17. He's the Republican's useful idiot...
He's now promoting their horse-and-sparrow economics. Sure we all call it trickle-down or supply-side economics, but I prefer horse-and-sparrow - the theory goes that if you feed the horse enough oats, some of those oats will come out the back end of the horse and feed the sparrows.

I was blogging about Joe and horse-manure earlier today.

Republicans are even dumber than I thought.

I cannot, in the farthest stretches of my imagination, see spending even one or two minutes listening to this fool.

What on earth are they thinking?

21. What, he steps one toe on Israeli soil, talks to a camera for 1 minute,
and he's a WAR CORRESPONDENT?

That's a total slam and pissing on the grave of REAL war correspondents, like Ernie Pyle and John Hersey.

Fucking Republicans.

22. It's only a matter of time before he has a radio call-in show
Anyone so militantly ignorant is surely the next glenn beck, waiting in the wings. A poor man's Neil Boortz, if you will. Between the Holy Trinity of Joe, Sarah, and Rush, the GOP is doomed for the foreseeable future. It's like someone put a curse on them.

Someone named Dubya.

He's a "plumber", a "war correspondent" and now an "advisor".
