OK, who's the biggest ignoramus in Congress today?
I'll cast my vote for Ohio congressman Jim Jordan. That's saying something because his district borders John Boner's.

I recently heard him in a news interview last week bitch about the stimulus package promoted by the Democrats, saying it adds to our $11 trillion national debt (he conveniently neglects to mention it was mostly accumulated under Bush). His solution? Cut taxes.

His other solution? Increase military spending. We're already spending more on our military than all other nations COMBINED. And that $11 trillion debt he pissed and moaned about can be attributed in large part to our retarded levels of military spending.

He bitched about the "honeymoon" the Liberal Media are giving Obama. At the time of the interview, Obama was less than two weeks into his presidency. Name me one president that didn't have a honeymoon with the media that early into his presidency.

He bitched about Obama's association with William Ayers. Cripe, I thought that was last century's news. Never mind that Ayers received millions of dollars from a huge supporter of Jordan's idol, Ronald Reagan. That being Walter Annenberg. Jordan failed to mention that, too.

He attempted to rewrite history on the Great Depression, saying that FDR's public spending aggravated the Great Depression. The country's unemployment rate was still 14% in 1936, he noted. Never mind that it was over 20% earlier in the presidency.

I can go on and on.

Can anybody top this?

9. I'll "third" that.
As an ex-Okie, but my new state isn't much better...SC. I think Jim Demint is about as useless as they come. Actually any member of congress who seeks out the cameras, who loves to see him/herself on camera every day, has a problem seems to me. By contrast, people like Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, although on the wrong team, do get at least a little respect from me.

7. Where To Start...Steve King Is Near The Top
House repugnicans are a real assclown posse these days. Almost all the moderates have been chased out of the party or defeated by Democrats and what remains are the looniest tunes this side of the "No Nothing Party". Hell, each day there's yet another wingnut who stupifies imagination with the lies and verbosity of their "ideas" and rhetoric.

King tops my list for all the inflamtory shit he's thrown over the years. He inherits the mantle from such losers as Tom Tancredo, Duncan Hunter and Kurt Weldon. Then there's the "ladies"...such as Michelle Bachman, Marcia Blackburn and Virginia Foxx who never miss a chance to spew verbage from another world in 60 seconds or less. And that's just the House.

In the Senate, who can top Jim Inhoffe for showing how evolution CAN be stopped. He's being challenged these days by Creme DeMint and Diapers Vitter (both hungry for wingnut campaign contributions) and Box Turtle Cornyn. It's amazing how these people were ever allowed to circulate in public yet ever win elected office.

I'm looking forward to even more wingnuttery in the months ahead as the GOOP continues to defy both reality and their own political gravity and yammer themselves into oblivion.

12. This idiot-

Dan Lugnut (Lungren) Father was Nixon's' personal physician and made sure Danny Boy stayed out of Viet Nam. Best friend to big oil and hater of the working man and the environment Dan Lungren often is heard slurring his words late in the morning and early in the afternoon on the House floor. A child of privilege and he shows it with his voting record.

Gawd I hate this man.

16. Don't do that!
These pinheads regard topics like this as a freakin' competition! "Oh, you think Jordan's an imbecile? Well, watch this!" Yeah, our political folklore is the richer for it, and we regard some of our fellow citizens as lizard-brained ignoramuses for returning these dumbasses to Congress in election after election, but please!

Actually, it is kind of humorous.
