will Obama stop the building of the super highway in Texas?

the neo cons super highway that starts in a big port in Mex., goes up into Tex. and on up to Can.

they are working on the Tex. part now.

2. I don't know. How is it being funded?
But I like the way you think: mean and vengeful with ironic finesse.

3. no - the secret UN treaty requires compliance as part of the New World Order
you really shouldn't talk about this on public message boards.

14. I heard one time...
that the road is actually a UN road...intended for troop movement only...whether or NOT that's true remains to be seen...but the fact does remain, that lots of people throughout the mw will have their land taken away, (remember those imminent domain laws that passed a few years ago?)and much necessary farmland will be sacrificed in order to accommodate this highway..the road will make it possible to bypass US ports...and effectively put most of them in mothballs..all goods will be shipped to the main base in southern Mexico..and will then be trucked down this highway to anywhere goods need to go...in Mexico, the US or Canada....IN fact Mexico allegedly tried to purchase a good bit of property in Kansas City for a main terminal...how many football fields wide is it?? It will effectively make an Eastern/Western US...divided right down the middle by this highway, and I don't believe that the regular people are supposed to have access to it...now think about this...how easy would it be to invade and take over our country with this road making a straight shot right to and through our heartland..could any easier access be provided???...I seriously doubt it...Have you heard any of the stories about the Chinese who keep coming into our ports already, inside shipping containers????sorry, but I can see many reasons to squelch this highway...don't be fooled by what appears to be someone looking out for us...not true...the people behind this project, are looking out for themselves only...you can't look at just today, and hope everything turns out for the best...lots of things that look good at first glance, turn out not to be so special after all...wb

9. is this "super highway" different from I-35?
All the maps I've seen indicate that this is merely a new designation for the existing I-35.

12. That's just what places like NewsMax and WWD and other far right places are yelling about
What is your concern about this road? Sounds to me like jobs and transportation and better security.

13. the neo con plan is to use Mex. port for all US westcoast shipping

thus by passing US union dock workers, etc.

the road is VERY wide and would be self contained.

also Mex. drivers could go all the way to and into Can. etc. US, Can.

property will be and is being confiscated with already reports of politicians benefiting.

one of the end games is one kind of money for all three countries.

and the US would protect and close Mex. southern border.

and the neo cons would get to go into Can. and claim all kinds of rights. already Russia, Can., and US fighting over the melted and melting arctic.

on and on

15. The only real issue was the dockworker angle.
US ports are expensive to utilize because of unionized dockworkers and fees levied against incoming freight to cover environmental expenses. Mexico has already set aside $4 billion and is starting development on a new port larger than Long Beach at Punto Colonet/Santa Maria Bay. The goal is to undercut American port prices by routing all North American imports through Mexico. This will shut down American docks and put tens of thousands of American truck drivers out of work (remember the flap about Mexican truck drivers crossing into the US a few years ago...it's all related).

The new port project includes upgrading the heavy freight rail lines running across the border to Southern California and building new ones to Chihuahua. From there, they could be transferred into the U.S. using the TTC.

While the corridor is dead, Mexico is still building the port at Punta Colonet and is exploring the construction of others. The issue hasn't gone away.
