6. Other; Leftist Libertarian
Kucinich is my man but I'm willing to give the present political lineup a chance to hang themselves and us with them, unfortunately. Yes, I'm a cynic but after the past twenty eight years, what else is there? More war? No UHC? Massive inflation? Etc., etc.

11. It works better on the Political Compass
http://www.politicalcompass.org

It plots your beliefs on a two-dimensional scale with authoritarian/libertarian and socialist/corporatist axes, rather than a linear left-to-right line.

My neighbors down in the lower left quadrant include Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and (I would imagine) the above poster.

22. It means generally limiting the size of government
Although I'm for universal health care and space missions to mars. I'd like to see less spending on most other goverment programs, though.

17. Same place they've always been, but the country's moved quite a bit in my lifetime
I want ...

Fair and equal treatment for everyone.

No laws against victimless crimes.

A social safety net.

An open and honest government.

Progressive taxation to level the playing field just a little since money always attracts more money.

Complete separation of church and state -- yes, no 'Under Allah' in the pledge (which we shouldn't need anyway); no congressional chaplains, prayer breakfasts, 'God Bless Americas' etc. None. Not fucking one. Ever.
