Eyewitness News KSTP TVPolice are investigating a string of thefts at a Minneapolis church, which has been broken into five times in the last six months.
The most recent theft is proving to be a crippling blow to a food shelf located in the basement of the Minnehaha United Methodist Church. Officials said thousands of dollars worth of meat was stolen.
Organizers said the disappointing thing about the thefts is that they believe the suspect may be one of their clients.
The church’s food shelf organizer Renee Wood said all they had to do was ask. "They come in here and say I need food, we give them food," Wood explained.
