To put the Stimulus bill into perspective:
$900,000,000,000 Stimulus Bill $900 billion

$ 50,000,000,000 Amount stolen by Madoff $50 billion

$700,000,000,000 Amount allocated for TARP $700 billion

$ 720,000,000 Daily cost of occupying Iraq $720 million

$150,000,000,000 cost of Iraq to date $150 billion

$527,000,000,000 proposed defense budget for 2009, not including war in Afghanistan or Iraq $527 billion

That's what I came up with, free free to add your examples or to argue those amounts.

4. Posted this on a different forum.
816 billion spread out over 10 years comes out to an average of 3% of the total federal revenue for 2007. The 2000 budget surplus represented almost 11.7% of the federal revenue that year.
