Another Reason I love DU

The times I have come here to post an opinion, and that opinion has not been all that well informed, the responses have been kind, informative and helpful, not judgmental, hurtful or upsetting to read.

That inspires me rather than depresses me. I was wrong about Tom Daschle. And I've been wrong before. I was short-sighted about some GLBT issues and the people Obama selected to speak at his inaugeration, and there are probably ten other issues I was wrong about, which you all here at DU changed my mind about.

But thank you for not jumping all over me, and explaining your point of view and being nice. Most of the time, it's your common sense and kindness that enlightens me. I'm grateful to you.

1. I agree - that's when DU is at its best. I posted a dumb question the other day

and people were very nice in their responses and it even turned into a good discussion, even though I was embarrassed! :blush:
