I was on the phone with one of my nephews and he

told me there was a shooting in the car park outside Best Buy on Kendall Drive. He was so tramautized because not only does he go there often, but he has taken me a few times as well. One person was killed and another seriously injured.

Just searched for the report and it was a police shooting.

The shooting took place in broad daylight in a shopping plaza packed with people at 124th Avenue and Kendall Drive, and police have shut down Kendall Drive westbound starting at 124th. No one inside the store was hurt, according to the store’s manager.

What led to the gunfire remains a mystery. Witnesses said the people who were shot were in a white Nissan Altima.

“I heard like 15 shots fired … I saw the white Nissan Altima and it was pretty shot up,” said Juan Vaquero, who lives nearby. Another witness said the Nissan was moving when police opened fire.

“The person was apparently shot and lost control of the car and smashed into the tree, so his body is on the floor behind my car … they haven’t even moved him,” said Christina Estamponi, a customer.

He didn't know who had shot whom. He was just pissed that the road was closed and traffic was backing up. What bothers me is cops firing all those shots in a crowded area. Innocent people could have been shot.

I find it frustrating that so many people will post something without identifying the location (city, state, whatever). Sometimes there's not even a link to go to, as if we all should know where a particular street is, or where some event took place that's not major national news. Even a local story that is huge locally, may not be covered a hundred miles away.
