Countdown...Schuster is NOT Olberman

The script may be there but Keith is not reading it and this guy is NOT convincing. As a replacement for when Keith needs a night off, David Schuster bombs.

1. I felt that way when rachel was off - when I saw keith had a substitute

I changed the channel and will switch back for rachel

I think he's great, I like him better than any other replacement Keith has had in the past including Rachael (although I do love her show) and Schuster does a great job on his own show.

7. Olbermann is basically un-replaceable.

I'm always disappointed when he gets a day or, worse yet, a week, off. But Schuster is, in my opinion, a vast improvement of the woman who used to replace him. She always seemed to be channeling Keith in a weird way and it just didn't work.

Maher would be a great choice, but I doubt it would ever happen.

10. Keith is one of a kind

nobody can replace him. I don't agree with "Schuster bombs", I think he does an adequate job and he's just filling in on a news/opinion show that's not his. He's not the entertainer that Keith is and he doesn't need to pretend to be...

11. The scripts & style of Countdown are tailored for KO.

Asking anyone to come in and read KO's scripts never works, whether it's Shuster or any of the other subs they've had.

I also wonder why Shuster does segments like "Bushed" when subbing on Countdown. Many of KO's stock segments are reflections of what he finds outrageous from his partisan perspective. Asking a sub to do these segments means the sub must also assume KO's partisan perspective and delivery. I noticed that none of them do the World's Worst Person segment.

Rachel's show has a similar problem.

he's on the correct side and does a fair job, no one can come close to KO.

13. I was high one time and listening to Schuster on Countdown and

I thought he was Kermit the Frog.
