All right, how many people here would the house buying provision help?

My wife and I are in the market for a house now, and I am thrilled at the possibility of this passing all the way through. I know, at least in my case, this would make things much easier for us to actually afford our first house and/or give us a wider price range to hunt in.

not sure if they'll end up in the final thing. Property taxes are my big barrier to buying a house because they're so high and needed up front.

9. It helps re-inflate the housing bubble. The entire problem was that housing was overpriced...

Now they're attempting to bring that back.

... you can't pay for a 500K house with a 50K a year job.

The house prices have to fall or your wages have to inflate. Simple math. I suspect we are going to go the inflation route.

Housing prices are an order of magnitude higher than the structures are worth.

Just don't buy one.
