Is it just me, or does Susan Collins always sound like she's about to burst into tears?
I know being a Repug sucks, but she chose it. :cry:

I think she sounds as if she's stuffed her mouth full of cotton wadding and taken a triple dose of cold medicine!

I agree about the baby talk. The people in Maine must just read what she has to say, not listen to her.

6. She does have a rather odd sound to her voice.
I wonder if she is just a very controlled person...her lack of word stress is unusual for a native English speaker (I tutor ESOL students on English pronunciation).

To me, the quaver in her voice sounds much like Robert Kennedy Jr. and Diane Rehm.
