I'm picking April 13th.

And it's a Friday...

:scared:

Anybody else?

2. Sooner would be better than later for me.
Sooner than sundown tonight, in fact, would be just great.

The little monster should never have been nominated in the first place. The sooner he's gone, the better for everyone.

I'll go with this Thursday, the 29th for the leak/rumor and Friday for the "resignation."

7. That's my bet as well. It'll be ignored for the
Resurrection story, rerunning The Ten Commandments, Easter eggs and pretty dresses on cute little girls after Bush his egg roll on the WH lawn.

10. Yeah, I'm picking April 6th too.
It's a good day for a news dump.

I'm surprised Gonzales isn't gone already, but now it's clear that Bush and Gonzales want a fight, so they'll play Custer's Last Stand for a while longer, and get Rove in yet more heat.

Eventually, they will have to cave, and Gonzo will resign "without admitting fault, but recognizing that he should depart for the good of the country..."

9. Gonzalez won't resign and here is why....

Gonzalez is a KEY figure - a epicenter - in this entire scandal. His role is to protect the President. And, I am sure he has buried many a body, in this role.

So, what happens when the process for a new attorney general begins? There is now a Democratic led Senate that will have veto power over Bush's choices. So, it will be all but impossible for Bush to get another mob cronie in this position, ESPECIALLY, after the Gonzalez incident.

All odds are that Bush KNEW about these firings (hence, the President does not 'recall' not the President had NO involvement in statements regarding him in this matter). If Gonzalez falls, the next trail leads to Rove & Bush. And, without there crucial No. 3, they will not have the ability to keep their house of lies in shadow any longer. This is why Gonzalez is still in the White House. They don't have a choice. It is WORSE to lose him, then to risk the alternative. Forget about the so called Bush loyalty. Bush is loyal to no one but himself. Fredo stays because Bush NEEDS him to protect himself.

Gonzalez very well may be impeached due to revelations in the hearings and yet to be released documents. But, resigning will not happen.

This is the last stand. And, it is where it falls apart. You can only lie about a zillion times, but eventually, truth has a very insidious way of always coming out.

12. Gonzo is a lightening rod for the repubs, hope he stays
I have my hopes set on doing Rover in. What will poor bushie do without his brain? With Gonzo a constant target, and Rove in the mix, this could be where Rove is "outed" as the biggest liar of them all. He and cheney are the biggie in the Plame outing and how they escaped being indicted is a good question. Rove is for sure involved in getting rid of those that get in His way such as the U.S. attys and Plame, etc.

Gonzo is too easy. They get him the story could go away in days.
