at least things would get more fair! If the media is ganging up on Democrats,
we need to take off the gloves and level the playing field!!

1. I fear it will take them as long as it took their counterparts
in the 1930s to enact it for the first time

That was years and plenty of Coughlin and other folks of the time

3. There's a much easier way to level the playing field
Let the blogosphere in! He should sit down with people with Kos and Skinner--THAT would shake them up!

4. We could nationalize all the media.
But then everything would be PBS.

5. PBS has been owned by the oil industry over past decades . . .
the call it "Petroleum Broadcasting System" ---

PLUS, GOP attacks on funding led to the "beg-a-thons" ... that's how long

this battle to destroy "news" has been going on !!!

We need to actually use our anti-trust laws and break up these monopolies ---

Re-establish the Fairness Doctrine ---

And, IMO, licenses as they have in Europe might work for us --- ???

6. The Fairness Doctrine should be enacted, but in conjunction with the breakup of the media companies
using anti-trust laws. The arguments against the Fairness Doctrine fail to take into account that it worked for decades and the media was in much better shape during those years.
