Tests will tell if baby remains found at landfill

YORK - Authorities still are waiting on test results to confirm if human remains were found in the local landfill.
Police Chief Don Klug said today that it could take a few more days for tests to be completed in Omaha.
The remains were found Wednesday. York County Attorney Tim Sieh described them a "possible human remains."
According to a search warrant filed in York County District Court, police received a tip that a teenage girl gave birth to a still born baby girl on Jan. 26.
The confidential source told an officer that the girl told her mother, days later, that she washed her bedding and placed the baby in the kitchen garbage can. The girl then reportedly placed the remains in a trash can outside, where they were picked up by a local sanitation company a few days later, the warrant stated.
Sieh has said he will not release further information until test results are complete.
