So can we just go nuclear and tell the republicans to fuck off?
If so, how exactly does the nuclear option work?

3. It's coming, be patient.
I've said from the beginning: to hold the high moral ground, Obama must at least give the stupid party a chance to act like humans. I think he's working up to a nuclear option right now. He will NOT be blamed for this economy if he handles it right.

4. Here's the deal
We don't need the "nuclear" option to get the stimulus passed. The pantywaist democrats in the senate are so afraid of passing anything without Republican support (fearing political repercussions from god knows where) that they won't go forward on their own. THE DEMS CAN PASS THE STIMULUS WITHOUT REPUBLICAN VOTES. The only issue is whether they can get 60 (I think they only need 59 until Franken gets seated) for closure in case the Republicans filibuster this thing ... and they would be insane to filibuster the stimulus because it is overwhelming popular. Harry Reed has to go. He left his balls somewhere and no one can find them.

The nuclear option is where the majority in the senate changes the rules of the chamber weakening the ability to filibuster. Thus, you permanently end all filibusters by the minority party in the senate. There is no nuclear option in the house because they don't have that rule.

5. We don't need the Republicans for shit
That myth is being sold by the Economically conservative Dems who don't want to be held accountable for shit.

The Republicans have little next to no influence on the senate, house, or executive branch.

They can't do shit but fillibuster and bitch. It's their own damn fault.
