Throw in some good old fashioned fear mongering from the bloodless Dick Cheney about likely nuclear attacks and fatuous ravings from the ballooning Mount Rush, feigning concern about the impact of Obama's plan "on the middle class" while comfortably squatting behind his (literally) golden microphone in his cushy multi-million dollar mansion.

I'm so frustrated with the Yellow Bellied Republicans, aka, the Blue Dog Coalition that I could scream.

I wish that someone could explain why any dem wouldn't vote for this first, very important vote, whether they like it or not just as an act of solidarity. Instead, I see Ben Nelson holding hands with Collins and giving credence to the whining fits of the opposition whose policies got us into the damned mess we find ourselves in now.

I view this as weakening the new President very early on, and setting up nasty fights down the road for appts. to the courts, etc. I live amongst rabid repukes and they always play for the jugular, and any sign of weakness will be exploited. I just can't wrap my brain around this. :crazy:

Birthday month is different this year. Charlie will be at school for his, mine and the youngest. (must adjust, must adjust). We'll be splitting the middle for his and mine and dinner will be on the 14th.

We were on the phone for over 2 hrs. Weds. night, and he called again last night, and again this afternoon, but I was a trooper and didn't cry when he went back the last time. You would think a rapidly approaching 50 woman would be glad to be sending them all off, lol! I must be Abbi someone, I think Abbie Normal (Young Frankenstein reference) :hug:
