the Media will be Obama's undoing
The Main Stream Media is criticizing Obama and giving air time to any Republican who finds something negative to spew.

They air criticism of Obama wearing no jacket in the oval office.

I'm have no wind in my sails anymore to be angry.
If he finds a way to restrict the corporate media's propaganda I my be hopeful. But it's sooo disheartening to see "Democrats" crumble for no reason after we gave them power.

Hmmm, wonder what's up with that?

2. Don't be too worried about the M$M.
They are doing what they do. The fact that they are focused on Obama and frame every story around whether Obama wins or loses, proves he is winning.

The story will be the stimulus passed. President Obama signed it, recovery is on the way. Then, the repukes will be forgotten. Obama will still hold the bully pulpit. I just can't wait for what the focus of March is.

3. Even Keith and Rachel are playing the repukes talking. I had to switch both off for a while.
They do not give our guys any time at all...Why do our folks have to give those asses even more air time than they are already getting.

Frankly, I do not want to hear the repuke bullshit any more...especially on Keith and Rachel.
If I did, I would watch Faux Noise

10. That isn't how it works Ds and their agents are the slackers
It is much more like the booking agents from the Dems haven't been working to place their clients--most that is. Claire McKasgill has been turning up on 3 or 4 news shows a day. Barry Frank has been out there, too.

President Obama will triumph. This is good against evil. Good will win, and evil will be shed into their own dire Universe.

But much like Clinton, he'll remain popular with the Public. And thats all that matters

19. No! He won't remain popular as Clinton
did if the economy worsens. Republican arguments had no weight with the public during Clinton because the economy was resilient. Things are different today. The media attacks on Obama will work. This effort to paint Obama as an ineffective unexperienced leader with have an impact. It already has.

21. LOL, that's a ray of sunshine. :P
Despite some here insisting upon it, Clinton is NOT universally loved by the Democratic party nor by the Average American. Because the economy was NOT good, people did not pay attention AT THE TIME.

I have faith in the American People when times are difficult. We are at OUR BEST when we must dig deep and pull together. I'm willing to give President Obama a chance to unite this Country and improve our dire economic circumstances.

23. Your faith is misplaced.
When the American people are constantly pounded by the media that President Obama is no good it will eventually sink in. President Obama has no chance to unite the country. Just turn on the TV, geesh.

And Clinton had a 64% approval rating during the impeachment.

Always remember, "It's the economy, stupid."

15. It was called the Fairness Doctrine. Reagan killed it
and our Democracy has withered without it.

The wealthy muzzle the left by denying us air time. The Fairness Doctrine was the only thing that ensured that ALL Americans were allowed Freedom Of Speech in the MSM.

18. This is why I thought his very first priority should've been to break up big media conglomerates.
If that isn't done, they'll just frame every issue for the Republicans and slowly grind his approval rating down so low that he can't get anything else done.

President Obama is far from immune from these attacks during bad economic times. If this continues we will see Sarah Palin in the Whitehouse in 2012. I'm dead serious.

25. GOP talk radio coordinated uncontested repetition is the key
the talk radio monopoly enables this crap- the flat earthers, the GOP operatives, the lazy celeb talking heads

they know by the time they get on the tube at the end of the news day the GOP talking points and one liners are no longer absurd or false because they've been repeated all over the country from 1000 stations all day long. ownership knows who to put on and who to keep off if they want to protect their tax breaks but they can't all go fox on the american public without exposing themselves. they need that talk radio monopoly of the public airwaves to prechew the message for them to make it easier to swallow.

26. Exactly. We need to stop deluding ourselves and get to work
Reality-based work is the only hope.

Intelligent people are easy to propagandize,
All their lives they received praise for their memory, performance, and train-ability.
They function highly from grade school to work.

They absorb, retain, and ingrain information quickly and deeply.
And once learned they don't think critically.
They think, "I know it, therefore it MUST be true."
And this is reinforced by society, especially at the workplace.

These people are difficult to inform of new facts but it CAN and MUST be done.
A radically different media paradigm is the only way to save our democracy.
